The heartbeat of the boreal north, Classic Roots—also known as Joshua DePerry—is an Indigenous DJ, music producer, and performer from Long Lake 58 First Nation, born in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Now based in Toronto, his distinctive sound blends Pow Wow techno with contagious basslines, creating a vibrant celebration of cultural freedom and Indigenous resilience. Through his music, Classic Roots inspires listeners to pursue their dreams while staying connected to their roots.
